Privacy Policy

A plain-language explanation of what Dutch Me handles and how we protect shared records.

Effective 14 August 2026

01

Information Dutch Me handles

Dutch Me stores your email address and authentication identity; profile details you choose to add, such as your name and optional UPI ID; group, meetup, invitation, expense, split, refund and external-payment records; and receipts you choose to upload. Dutch Me does not connect to your bank, verify UPI transactions, move money or hold funds.

02

How information is used

Information is used to authenticate you, provide shared-expense features, calculate balances, protect private groups, maintain audit history, prevent misuse and respond to support requests. Dutch Me does not currently sell personal data or use advertising trackers.

03

Who can see shared records

People in the same private group or meetup can see the shared profile and ledger information needed for that scope. Supabase processes hosted authentication, database and private-storage data as Dutch Me’s infrastructure provider. Resend processes authentication-email delivery and support-email receiving and forwarding. Google processes messages delivered to Dutch Me’s monitored support inbox.

04

Security and retention

Native sessions use device Keychain/Keystore-backed storage. Database access is membership-scoped and receipts are private. Shared expense, refund, receipt and audit records may remain after a member leaves because other participants rely on the collaborative ledger. Account deletion removes the login identity and direct profile details and leaves retained shared history anonymized as “Deleted user”. Support messages are retained in the support providers according to their account settings and operational needs.

05

Diagnostics and analytics

Release builds may send technical crash diagnostics to Sentry when crash reporting is enabled. These reports are configured without Dutch Me account identity, email, screenshots, screen replay, request contents or behavioral tracking. They may include an error stack trace and basic app, operating-system and device context needed to diagnose stability. Dutch Me does not use a behavioral analytics SDK in the closed beta.

06

Your choices

You can edit optional profile details, delete receipts when authorized, leave eligible groups and permanently delete your account in Profile. Deletion requires transferring group ownership, closing open payment records and resolving non-zero balances first. You can contact support for access, correction, export or deletion questions.
